This Week's Puzzler

The Surprised Brain Surgeon

It's time again for another puzzler. This was sent to us by a guy named Joe Grendola from Greensboro, North Carolina.

Now here it is, in its entirety. A man and his son are driving 20 miles an hour around a gentle curve, in a Suzuki Samurai when the vehicle flips over and rolls down a steep hill.

Oh, get Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe all ready. Or maybe they're gonna sue Joel. He said it, not us!

The man is badly injured and launched into a coma and his son is seriously injured, as well. The boy is rushed to a hospital where he is examined in the emergency room.

The doctor determines that the boy's life can be saved only by immediate very complicated brain surgery. Fortunately, one of the few qualified surgeons in the country lives nearby and is summoned yet that yeah, this brain surgeon rushes into the operating room takes one look at the boy on the operating table, and says "GASP!!!, my son!"

How is this possible?

Remember last week's puzzler?

The Two Wheel Rotation

Hey, you know what it's time for? It's time for a puzzler.

This is a puzzle that I've had for a long time and I've never used it.

A motorcyclist goes into his friendly motorcycle repair shop. And he asked the fellow who works there to give him a tune-up and to change the oil. The fellow looks at the bike and says okay, "I can manage to do that." And then the mechanic says, "Would you like me to rotate your tires?" And the motorcyclist bursts into laughter.

The question is, is the mechanic right or is he trying to pull a fast one on the guy?

Does it make sense to rotate your motorcycle tires? You can presume there was no sidecar involved!
