Can you solve this week's puzzler?

View in browser » The Egg Test Puzzler time. This one is non-automotive. Here we go.  A farmer had three daughters. And he decided to test his children. Send them off on a little errand.  To each of them he gave the following number of eggs. Daughter #1 got 15 eggs. Daughter #2 got 50 eggs. Daughter #3 got 85 eggs. The farmer told them they each had to go their separate ways and sell these eggs. They each had to sell the eggs for the same price. And they had to sell all of their eggs before returning home. And they somehow had to return with the same amount of money. And the daughters were not allowed to have any contact with each other to exchange money, or eggs. So each daughter was tasked to sell their specific amount of eggs, 15, 50 or 85, charging the same price, and somehow return home with the same amount of money.  How did they do it? Good luck. Answer the Puzzler » Remember last week's puzzler? Tuning It Up It is puzzler time again. Here we go. Years ago, we were all at the garage. And I assigned one of the guys there to do a tune up of one of the vehicles that had come in. I said, "Go throw a tune up on that thing!"  So, he goes to this particular vehicle. After a little while, he comes back and says, "There is something strange going on with this thing. It looks like there are a couple of vacuum hoses going to the distributor. But they are unplugged and I don't know where they go." And I said, "Well, one must be the vac advance and one must be the retard." And he said, "No, this one doesn't have a vacuum advance, or a vacuum retard. As a matter of fact, these hoses go to the distributor cap." And I said, "Well, you must be wrong, because there are no vacuum hoses that go to the distributor cap..." And the guy says, "Well, these do." So, sure enough, I walk over there myself to look at what is going on. And I inspected this car and found that there are two spots on the distributor cap where hoses would attach. So I figured out that one of them goes to the manifold and the other one goes to the air filter. So I show the guy where they go. And at that moment he realizes what kind of vehicle he is tuning up. And he says, "Well, I guess that makes sense now." And the puzzler question is, what kind of vehicle was he tuning up? Now, remember this was a year ago. There were thousands of these on the road at the time.
